Living our boho picnic dreams, this uniquely incredible wedding in the bay was the perfect celebration for the union of Liyani and Renan at the stunning Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden in San Francisco, CA. Rustic florals, palm leaves and pampas, a breathtaking windmill towering over the entire ceremony, all surrounded by beautiful tulips in bloom- this was certainly one of the grandest weddings we have had the honor of filming. A boho vibe fitting this stunning bride and groom!

Stunning city views, a beautiful couple, and a morning filled with emotion. The morning began with bride and groom prep at the Hotel Via, conveniently located across the well known Giants Stadium. We often love capturing the “getting ready moments” because it includes the many flooding emotions that lead to the moment of seeing your significant other for the first time on the wedding day. In addition to the already emotional first look, the bride’s father also surprised her with a beautiful limo to bring them to the ceremony- a moment that brought out genuine emotion in their wedding film.

Both the ceremony and reception took place at the Queen Wilhelmina Tulip Garden with an intimate picnic-style seating arrangement for all of the guests. A unique twist to a traditional wedding, each seating arrangement included charcuterie baskets for the guests to enjoy and a love letters for the guests to give back to the bride and groom! We love this idea as an alternative for guest books so that the newlyweds can read and re-read each personalized letter for years to come! A beautiful ceremony view with live music by dccervantez, the atmosphere was nothing short of perfect for the wedding day. 

Filming at this stunning location, as breathtaking as it was, posed some challenges. While the windmill was indeed the signature feature of the venue, the grandeur of the windmill itself was hard to capture on film. Something so large, so vast, and so beautiful required technical filming to capture just how stunning it was! We were able to just get a snippet of its beauty while flying the drone over the beach nearby. A venue we will never forget, this location was truly a sight to see.
