On cloud nine? More like on cloud wines! Stunning creekside ceremony views, heart-wrenching toasts, personalized pizza dinners- name a better way to celebrate a wedding! A beautiful wedding fitting a beautiful couple, this fall outdoor wedding in Bakersfield, CA was the perfect way for Mr. and Mrs. Wines to begin their journey as husband and wife!

There’s always something special about fall weddings. From the cool air to the changing leaves, the fall season is always a popular time for weddings. With this in mind, outdoor weddings have become increasingly popular, including for this lovely bride and groom at the lovely Riverbluff Ranch in Bakersfield, CA.  The venue offered suites for both the Alexis and Loren to get ready in the morning of the wedding. After capturing all the details and all the portraits with the bridal party, it was soon time for the first look. The bride and groom opted to have a private first look before the ceremony to allow us more time to capture creative shoot footage and portraits throughout the day. With such incredible, open landscape to choose from, we chose to have their first look in the midst of stunning green foliage. Before long, it was time for the ceremony.

With a beautiful creekside ceremony view, there really wasn’t much need for a lot of decor. Elegant small floral arrangements lined the aisle leading to a grand background full of large, pampas grass bouquets. With genuine, heart-felt words shared by their friend and officiant, Loren and Alexis rock, paper, scissored over who got to share their vows first and publicly declared their “I do’s” surrounded by those nearest and dearest to them. A wedding ceremony that was unique and personal to the bride and groom, it was truly the perfect beginning to their journey as husband and wife. Taking advantage of the brief cocktail hour, we were able to sneak away with the newlyweds to capture some beautiful sunset creative shoot footage to include in their wedding film. Effortless and beautiful, some of our favorite shot sequences took place during this creative shoot. 

One of the many reasons this wedding remains a favorite of ours was due to the trust shared between the bride and groom and the vendors. When a mutual trust is shared amongst the couple and ourselves, the wedding day simply flows with ease. Knowing all of the important details from the moment the bride and groom begin getting ready in the morning, to the final dance of the reception, and everything in between, it truly makes all the difference when the couple trusts our vision and guidance as wedding videographers. And it makes it that much easier when there is a great wedding coordinator to help the day along. 

The reception was nothing short of an EPIC celebration. Beautiful fall colored linens, hanging string lights, tables surrounding the dance floor, and a personal favorite- pizza for dinner! A unique and very personal touch for the bride and groom, they had their favorite pizza catered for the reception dinner, a trend we are totally happy to hop on board with and hope to see more of in the future! From DJ-ing off the floor to breaking it down on the dance floor, the night was filled with good food, beautiful toasts from the bridal party and family, and of course, lots of dancing! Ending the night with a bubble send-off, it was the perfect end to the perfect day!
